Research Responsibility and NU Executive Memoranda

You may think of the principal investigator on a study as being ultimately responsible for the research they are conducting, but within research institutions like UNL, research responsibility actually includes collaboration and cooperation between researchers, administrators, and applicable oversight offices. Executive Memos 16, 41, and 42 spell out specific responsibilities related to research, research computing, and research data.

  1. NU Executive Memorandum No. 16, Policy for Responsible Use of University Computers and Information Systems
  2. NU Executive Memorandum No. 41, Policy on Research and Data Security
  3. NU Executive Memorandum No. 42, Policy on Risk Classification and Minimum Security Standards
